Notebooking

I have decided to use mostly white cardstock to keep down the money. The white c.s. will be for the page and the colored c.s. for decorating and putting behind the lapbook booklets. I need to get to the dollar store to buy some more sticky letters, numbers, colored binder "hole" protectors (can't think of the name at the moment), and anything else the kids can decorate with. I am not going to let them use markers. "Them" as in Katie and Ana. They will destroy a house in seconds with marker.

Katie and Ana have actually been asking me to "please" do the body crafts. So, I have to get them copied. I'm so glad they want to learn.

Enjoy your day,
Margarete

Lapbook with Notebook

HERE ARE A FEW PICTURES OF TOM'S LAPBOOKING/NOTEBOOKING FROM THE LAST SCHOOL YEAR. I MADE SOME FOR THE CHEMISTRY AND ALSO GOT SOME FROM http://www.homeschoolshare.com/. I DON'T REMEMBER WHO HAS THE BIBLE LAPBOOK BOOKLETS. OH, SOME PAGES ARE FROM WWW.HOLDTHATTHOUGHT.COM (BIBLE). THE EXPLORER MAPS, INSIDE THE SMALL BOOKLET, ARE FROM WWW.MRNUSSBAUM.COM

Shark Lapbook Notebook finished

1st post about this lapbook:
Katie finished her shark lapbook / notebook. She used booklets from http://www.homeschoolshare.com/ and worksheets (not all shown) from http://www.learningpage.com/
Also she had worksheets from http://www.kidszone.ws/ and links from that site. She did a great job. She is now starting the whale lapbook / notebook. The booklets are again from http://www.homeschoolshare.com/. The worksheets will be from http://www.schoolexpress.com/ and probably http://www.learningpage.com/
Sharks are from the Dover Publications 'Sharks' coloring book.

Iroquois lapbook notebook

Tom did the http://www.homeschoolshare.com/ Iroquois lapbook booklets. We put them into notebooking instead of file folders. I seem to like this better. The indian in the first picture is
3-D.

CHANGES

I have pretty much decided to have Tom do lap/notebooking. (So far our homeschool year feels like a bust). He will do the booklets but we will put them on notebook pages. He's getting older and I think he is bored with the folders. This is ok. He is excited to do this. He's going to decorate the pages and maybe write more info on them.

He has done alot of chemistry booklets. Some from homeschoolshare.com and some I have been making. He has also started the Iroquois booklets from homeschoolshare.com . This is getting him ready for The French and Indian Wars. I will have to make some Algonquian indian booklets and French and British booklets.

I'm excited for this because I myself just love history. I actually learned about 'The Beaver Wars' last night while reading. We were never taught about this. We still have alot to learn.

We were also thinking about taking his Henry VIII lapbook (which is quite large and not even finished being put together), cut the booklets off the file folders and make the lap/notebooking pages.

Wow, I've been gone for awhile!

I have not been on here for so long! I have had other things going on and interruptions. Tom has done mostly Latin, Math, Spanish, PE, and Reading for the past few months. He really hasn't had any writing done sooooo.......now he has started a Chemistry lapbook. We are using some of the booklets found from the Chemistry lapbook at www.homeschoolshare.com . I'm also making more using the book, 'The World of Chemistry' by John Hudson Tiner. Tom has answered most of the questions in the book and has now started the booklets.

In the past few months, I hope this lapbook blog has helped someone in some way.
